Danny Guthrie continued his record of starting every game so far this season for Mitra Kukar in Indonesia’s top flight as he assisted his side’s third goal of the game. They defeated Bali United 3-1 to move up to tenth in the league.
In Belgium, Elliott Moore made his 34th start of the season for OH Leuven but the Leicester loanee could not prevent a 2-1 loss to first-tier side Zulte-Waregem in the Europa League play-offs.
Saturday 12th May
Ademola Lookman continues to impress in Germany as he rounded off his loan spell with RB Leipzig with two assists and a goal during his side’s 6-2 win over Herta Berlin. Victory was not enough to secure Champions League qualification for Leipzig but the Everton loanee did make it seven goal involvements in his last five games. Jadon Sancho also started again for Borussia Dortmund.
Mason Mount took his goal tally to 13 for the season as he scored again in Vitesse’s 2-1 win over ADO Den Haag. Fankaty Dabo also came off the bench for Vitesse.
In Belgium, Chuba Akpom carried on his fine form with his sixth goal of the season to guide Sint-Truiden to a 2-1 win over Antwerp in the Europa League play-offs.

In Poland’s second tier, former York City man Callum Rzonca played the full 90 as Zagłębie Sosnowiec won 2-0 to move up to second in the league and in the promotion spots with just three games remaining.
In a big game in Portugal’s second tier, the B teams of rivals Benfica and Porto took each other on with the former winning 3-0. Chris Willock made his 30th appearances of the season as he played the last half an hour.
Journeyman striker James Keene played his last game for Bidvest Wits but could not prevent his side losing 1-0 to Platinum Stars in the South African Premier Soccer League.
Over in the States, Ashley Cole showed he’s still got it as he provided an assist for LA Galaxy. The 37-year-old however could not prevent his side losing 3-2 to FC Dallas.
In the top flight of women’s football in Italy, it was a day to forget for Emma Lipman as she scored an own as her side Verona lost 6-3 to Brescia.
Sunday 13th May
In Germany there were two English goalscorers. First in the women’s Bundesliga, Lily Agg scored her first goal of the season but it was just a consolation as FFC Frankfurt lost 2-1 to Freiburg. In the men’s fourth tier, Mandela Egbo scored in the 86th minute as Borussia Monchengladbach II came from behind to draw 4-4.
Matt Derbyshire secured his second golden boot in a row in Cyprus as his 23rd goal of the season in the 1-0 win over Apollon was enough to secure the award.
In Norway, Gary Martin scored his third goal in four games as Lillestrøm beat Tromsø 2-0 away from home.
Rachel Daly and Jodie Taylor both scored in the women’s top flight in America, the NWSL, for Houston Dash and Seattle Reign respectively.
In men’s action in the States, there were contrasting fortunes for Lewis Hilton and Jonathan Barden as Saint Louis took on Orange County in the USL. Hilton equalised for Saint Louis in the 82nd with an impressive finish from the edge of the box but ten minutes later, his teammate Barden was sent off. It didn’t prevent his side from holding onto their 1-1 draw though.
Finally, Bradley Wright-Phillips picked up an assist as the New York Red Bulls beat Colorado Rapids 2-1.
